Skiing & Snowboarding:
Downhill skiing and snowboarding is available just north of Lava Hot Springs, in Inkom at Pebble Creek Ski Area. The resort boasts a 2,200 foot vertical drop, 54 runs, large gladed areas, and three chairlifts. Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing:
Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is available at several different locations near Lava Hot Springs. Pebble Creek Camp Ground area off of Blazer Highway and Mink Creek Recreation Area are popular areas. Snowshoe rentals and trails are available at the Baker Ranch in Lava Hot Springs.
Snowmobiling:

Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge:
Grays Lake National Wildlife Refuge is the largest hardstem bulrush marsh in North America. Located in a high mountain valley near Soda Springs in southeastern Idaho, the refuge and surrounding mountains offer incredible scenic vistas, wildflowers, and fall foliage displays. Lands adjacent to the 19,400-acre refuge are primarily wet meadows and grasslands. Grays Lake Refuge provides breeding habitat for over 200 species of mammals, birds, fish, and amphibians.
Gray’s Lake National Wildlife Refuge is 27 miles north of Soda Springs toward Jackson Hole. This is a wonderful area to view the rare trumpeter swans.
