Riverside Inn's Hot Pools
Lava Hot Springs has attracted visitors since Native American peoples gathered here for healing. It was a land of truce among the tribes. Pioneers stopped on their travels on the Oregon Trail. Generations of people have come to enjoy the natural, odor-free thermal springs. Geologists estimate that the hot water has been flowing here for five million years.

In addition to the private indoor pools the hotel operates, two blocks away the state operates four very large outdoor hot pools year round. In the summer months swimming and diving is available at the large pool built for the Olympic trials in the 60’s.
